A vast new museum at the foot of the pyramids, built to hold the whole of Tutankhamun's treasure.
Designed by Heneghan Peng Architects and built over nearly two decades, the Grand Egyptian Museum near the Giza plateau opened in phases from 2023 before its grand inauguration in 2025. Billed as the largest archaeological museum in the world, it displays the complete Tutankhamun collection together for the first time.
