Al-Ghuriya

The street is named after Sultan Qansuh al-Ghuri, whose mosque, mausoleum and wikala frame the crossing.

Al-Ghuri ruled 1501-1516 and died fighting the Ottomans at Marj Dabiq. His paired mosque and mausoleum still face each other across the street bearing his name.
