Baghdad Street

The street is named for Baghdad, part of Heliopolis's deliberate theme of honouring great Arab and Islamic capitals.

Baghdad was the seat of the Abbasid Caliphate and a byword for medieval Islamic learning. Its name sits alongside Damascus and Beirut in the Heliopolis grid.
