Hassan al-Ma'moun Street

Named for Hassan al-Ma'moun, who served as Grand Imam of al-Azhar during the 1960s.

As Sheikh of al-Azhar he headed Egypt's foremost religious institution. The street bearing his name is part of Nasr City's grid of avenues named for notable figures.
