Mostafa Kamel Street

The street is named for Mostafa Kamel, the fiery orator who campaigned for the end of British occupation.

Kamel founded the National Party and used journalism and public speaking to rally Egyptians before his early death in 1908. He remains an icon of turn-of-the-century nationalism.
