Qasr El-Nil Bridge

The bridge is named for the Qasr al-Nil, the "Palace of the Nile," a royal palace and barracks that once stood on the east bank.

Linking Tahrir to Gezira, the bridge is famed for the four bronze lions guarding its approaches. It replaced an earlier 19th-century crossing.
