Yugoslavia Street

Named for Yugoslavia, Egypt's partner alongside India in founding the Non-Aligned Movement in the 1950s-60s.

Nasser, Tito and Nehru together led the non-aligned bloc during the Cold War. The Mohandessin street commemorates that alliance, even as the country itself has since dissolved.
