10th of Ramadan Street

Named for 10 Ramadan, the Islamic-calendar date of the 6 October 1973 crossing of the Suez Canal.

The 1973 crossing fell on 10 Ramadan, so both the Gregorian and Islamic dates commemorate the same event. The name also marks a major new industrial city founded in the era.
